BLOG: Opinion and Editorials

All the content of this site represents the collective effort of our membership. We have been educating ourselves, and one another, over the first years of our existence as a group. But we are made up of individuals who all come from different backgrounds and find many motivations that have drawn us to this cause. Some are prompted by anger and outrage, others by more charitable impulses. Some of us are politically motivated and others are called to action by their faith. A number of our members have had personal experience with this issue. We have members with a long history of social activism and members for whom this is their first experience in this kind of group. We welcome and celebrate this diversity of thought, feeling, and experience.

We do not all agree on some of the controversial issues that surround the subject of human trafficking. But we all share the conviction that these areas of divergent thought will not prevent us from pressing forward.  This page is a place for us to highlight individual opinions. On the Message Board of our Meetup site, any member may share whatever views they wish. Visitors to this website are invited to leave comments on our main subject pages. In our quarterly newsletter, Fight Slavery News!, we have an opinion page. From time to time we may draw on any of those sources to bring individual views to your attention.

We welcome comments, questions, suggestions, criticism, and certainly we welcome your contributions.

TRAFFICKING MONITOR: Very good blog by Sock Foon in Washington D.C.

CHANGE.ORG/Human Trafficking: Excellent and timely posts led by Amanda Kloer.

The Human Trafficking Project: Many good writers and a useful index by subject.
